You want to remember REAL moments on your wedding day, not being directed all day to get the “perfect shot.”

I think the “perfect shot” is the one that captures your true essence. One that encapsulates the joy and array of emotions you feel on the day you get to marry your best friend. For this reason, my approach to wedding photography is mostly documentary. There is a lot going on, and you don’t want to be taken away from your guests all day for photos, so I prefer to follow alongside you and your partner capturing the day as it is– the way you’ll want to remember it. I like to focus on capturing real, authentic moments that tell a story. Although my primary focus is on candid moments, I also cover formals, traditional shots and artistically posed portraits, where I like to play with angles and perspective to create one of a kind images. My editing is bold with true to life colors that will leave your photos timeless no matter what the current trends are.

It is an honor to share in one of the most memorable days of my clients’ lives, and being able to give the gift of capturing and preserving those memories for years to come, brings me great joy.

I’ve photographed large extravagant weddings, intimate elopements in the woods, and everything in between. Each one is special in it’s own way and each has it’s own story to tell. A piece of that story exists within every guest, every detail, and every decision made that led to the moment you say “I do.” It is my mission to tell that story the best I can through photography. Knowing that the photos I take will likely be preserved for a lifetime or more is a great responsibility, and it is truly an honor to be able document these moments and share in so many beautiful celebrations. Know that you are in good hands with me. I am experienced, caring, easy to get along with, and am often told I bring a very calm energy to what can often be a somewhat stressful or chaotic day.

Also, I understand that most people do not particularly enjoy having their photo taken (I am one of those people) and clients regularly warn me, “I’m really awkward in photos.” I love to prove that sentiment wrong. I’m very laid back and like to keep my shoots pretty light, so if you don’t like being in front of a camera, know that I try to make it as painless as possible, giving you more cues than direct posing. My goal is for the whole thing to feel more like we’re just hanging out and less like an intimidating photoshoot, so let’s have some fun!
